Wish Lists & Notifications: Products you save or subscribe to for price alerts.
Communications: Messages sent via WhatsApp, email, or our “Request a Call” feature, including support queries.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

Device & Browser Data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, and screen resolution.
Usage Data: Pages visited, search queries on the Platform, bid activity, click-through paths, session duration, and referring URLs.
Location Data: Approximate geographic location derived from your IP address (not precise GPS unless you explicitly grant permission).

C. Information from Third Parties

If you log in via Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from those providers, subject to your privacy settings with them.

We will not use your personal data for any purpose incompatible with those stated above without your prior consent.

3Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 on the following lawful grounds:

Consent: You have given free, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent — for example, by signing up, opting into newsletters, or granting location access.
Contract Performance: Processing is necessary to execute the purchase or bid contract you have entered into.
Legitimate Interests: Security monitoring, fraud prevention, and platform analytics — where these are not overridden by your rights.
Legal Obligation: Compliance with applicable Indian laws, tax regulations (GST), and orders from competent authorities.

Where we rely on consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time (see Section 9).

4Cookies & Tracking Technologies

5Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only in the following circumstances:

Verified Vendors

When you place a bid or confirm a purchase, we share your name, delivery address, and order details with the relevant verified vendor to fulfil your order. Vendors are contractually bound to use this data solely for order fulfilment.

Service Providers

We engage trusted third-party service providers for payment processing, escrow services, SMS/OTP delivery, cloud hosting, email services, and analytics. These providers access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are bound by data processing agreements.

Login Providers

If you use Google or Apple Sign-In, limited profile data is exchanged with those providers under their respective terms. We receive only what is necessary for account creation.

Legal & Regulatory Authorities

We may disclose your information to law enforcement, courts, or regulators when required by Indian law, a valid court order, or to protect our rights, property, or the safety of users.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of Bestbid Technologies LLP, personal data may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Platform before any such transfer occurs.

6Escrow & Payment Processing

BestBid Store uses escrow-protected payments as part of our Buyer Protection programme. Funds are held by a third-party escrow service and released to the vendor only upon successful delivery and your confirmation.

We do not store full credit/debit card numbers or banking credentials on our servers.
All payment data is transmitted over TLS/SSL encrypted connections to our payment partners.
Escrow and payment providers are PCI-DSS compliant where applicable.
Transaction records (amount, date, product, parties) are retained for tax and audit purposes as required by Indian law.

7Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law:

9Your Rights & Choices

BestBid Store is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with their personal data, please contact us immediately at team@bestbid.store and we will promptly delete such information.

Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites, partner brand pages, or social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. 12International Data Transfers

Where such transfers occur, we ensure they are protected by appropriate contractual safeguards or that the recipient country provides an adequate level of data protection, consistent with the DPDPA, 2023 and applicable notifications issued by the Government of India.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or business operations. When we make material changes, we will:

Display a prominent notice on the Platform homepage.
Send an email notification to registered users where the change materially affects their rights.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Porbandar, Gujarat, India.
